HARRISBURG, PA - CM Squared, Inc., a lighting design and electrical contracting firm, was recently honored by the Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Harrisburg with five trade industry awards, including three highly coveted Pyramid Awards. The Pyramid Awards, a nationally recognized program administered at the local level, were created to bring recognition to the best and brightest that the housing industry has to offer in building, remodeling, and sales & marketing.
"We are very excited about receiving these prestigious awards from our peers," said Christian D. Malesic, President and CEO, "It is quite an honor to be recognized by such a professional industry. We couldn't be more proud."
CM Squared received the Best Outdoor Living Award, an entry that created a new living area, consisting of a sunroom, hot tub deck and BBQ Deck. The deck and surrounding trees were softly illuminated to set a calming mood, with lights incorporated into the design, adding visual appeal by creating changing shadows from the branches and leaves.
CM Squared was also honored for their flair for the dramatic and the unique with two marketing awards, Best Special Promotion, which "went outside the lines" in the design of their new mini-van (christened Mini-Sam) as virtually a traveling billboard, and the Best One Page Mailer, which "exceeded the judging criteria." CM Squared additionally received a Spike Award for recruitment of members and "The World is Won by Those Who Show Up" Attendance award for being the most active remodeler in the Association.
The Home Builders Association of metropolitan Harrisburg, the largest builders association in Pennsylvania with nearly 1200 members, received over 78 entries for projects in the year 2000. Industry professionals from other local builders associations judged the entrants on a point system.
